Katie Holmes wants Tom Cruise to become a TV talent show judge.
Choreographer Mary Murphy recently revealed she would love to see the ‘Valkyrie’ star join her on the panel of US dance contest ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ and the actor’s wife – who dazzled viewers with a Judy Garland-inspired routine on a special edition of the programme earlier this year – thinks he would be the perfect person to judge the contestants.
Speaking at the Dizzy Feet Foundation gala at the Kodak Theater in Hollywood, she said: “He would be great. He really would.”
While Katie is keen for Tom to make an appearance on the programme, she is unsure if she would accept any offers to make a return.
When asked about the possibility of appearing again, Katie said: “I don’t know. I don’t know, but it was a great time.”
Despite the ‘Mad Money’ star’s comments, Mary admitted she has so far been unable to approach Tom about appearing.
She said: “I’m going to try. If I can just slide my way in there, I will.”

Katie Holmes revealed it was her own footwear that inspired her daughter’s decision to wear high heels.
“She, like every little girl – she loves my high heels,” Katie told Access Hollywood at the Dizzy Feet Foundation at the Kodak Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday.
Since Suri first was spotted in public in her child-sized kitten heels earlier this fall, a debate was sparked on the Web and in parent’s magazines over whether they could present a risk to the child’s growth.
But Katie revealed the heels her daughter with Tom Cruise sports are actually supportive.
“They are actually ballroom dancing shoes for kids,” Katie said. “I found them for her and she loves them.”
Katie stepped out at the Dizzy Feet event over the weekend in support of the organization she founded alongside “So You Think You Can Dance” judges Nigel Lythgoe and Adam Shankman and “Dancing With the Stars” judge Carrie Ann Inaba, which aims to help underprivileged young people realize their dreams of becoming professional dancers.
“I’ve been a fan of dancing my whole life,” Katie said of her early love of dance. “I met with Nigel and he asked me if I wanted to be a part this… in starting this.”
And while on the podium at the event, Katie revealed the event has received over 90,000 donations, enabling them to help nine students with scholarships to various dance schools. [Source]

On family life: “In my own life, my whole world really revolves around family. I do what I need to do, but it’s like, ‘How is everybody else doing?’ And it’s wonderful for me as an actress to put some of that into a character.”
On life as a working mom on the Broadway set of All My Sons: “Suri would sit in my lap in the makeup chair. She’d hand the wig lady the bobby pins.“
On fashion: “I love Alaïa, for sure. Stella McCartney. I like Ralph Lauren because I feel like it’s very American, and I’m pretty all-American, from Ohio. Isabel Marant and a new designer, Sari Gueron.
On the genre of film she loves most: “It can be any genre. I even like vampire movies – they just have to be well done. I want to believe in the characters. The minute it starts to feel not real, I’m not interested.”
After the Cruise clan did some high-profile celebrating in Australia last week, the ladies of the family took time out to spend a relaxing day by the pool.
With Tom Cruise checking out of the Melbourne hotel Tuesday, wife Katie Holmes and their 3-year-old daughter Suri remained “very much in residence” at their luxury digs, according to a source.
Dressed in a flattering tangerine one-piece swimsuit, Holmes played with Suri who held onto a blue floatation noodle in the indoor pool. The duo spent time in the spa, then headed to the larger pool where they were surrounded by local Melbourne children vacationing with their families.
“Suri looked so cute,” said Felix Mason, 14, who was relaxing in the pool and spa area. “Even before I realized it was her I had thought she was an adorable little girl.”
Another guest, William Cuthbertson, 9, said he recognized Holmes from 2005′s Batman Begins. “Suri was tucked up against Katie’s chest and she wouldn’t show her face to us,” he said.
Holmes smiled at the others and wrapped her daughter in a fluffy white towel. Holmes, looking trim, put on an oversized gray shirt from the musical The Jersey Boys, which the family saw during at a Sunday matinee.
Holmes is preparing to start shooting Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark in Melbourne this month.

After weeks of rehearsals, it’s becoming clear: Katie Holmes has to know she can dance. “She’s really blossoming into a gorgeous triple-threat star,” says choreographer Mia Michaels of the actress’s moves for the 100th episode of So You Think You Can Dance. “So, I’m excited. I saw clips of it and it’s brilliant!”
When Holmes, 30, channels Judy Garland on July 23, it’ll be for a good cause. The actress’s song-and-dance number on Fox’s hit show will aid a nonprofit she helped found, The Dizzy Feet Foundation, which provides scholarships and other assistance to young dancers.
As fans of the show, Holmes and her daughter Suri often attended dress rehearsals, so she seemed like the perfect choice to help start the organization, says Nigel Lythgoe, another co-founder and executive producer of So You Think You Can Dance, who was hooked up with Holmes through the show’s other choreographer, Tyce Diorio.
“I called Tyce up and I said, ‘How would Katie feel about doing something on the show that would bring notoriety to a foundation?’” Lythgoe tells PEOPLE. “And he spoke to her, we then got together and Tyce, I and Katie met and discussed the whole thing, and I realized that she was so passionate about the project and I invited her to be a founding member of the whole foundation!”
As well as Holmes, director Adam Shankman and Dancing with the Stars judge Carrie Ann Inaba are founding members. The celebrity steering committee includes Paula Abdul, Jennifer Lopez and Miley Cyrus, who will give out 10 scholarships around the country. Says Lythgoe: “We’ve got lots of very high ambitions.” [SOURCE]
“When I met Tom, I knew we were going to be together, that we were going to get married. He does have a very big life but we just do it,” say Katie Holmes, and adds immediately that the two of them are still very much together and that they intend to stay that way always. Rumours that they have not been spending enough time together owing to their busy schedules and that as a result they are drifting a part, have started hitting the grapevine recently. And Katie is really upset over the things people say without knowing the truth.
“We’re all together. We like to be together, so Tom and I even use the house for our business meetings. We play board games like Yahtzee and Scrabble. We grill, we have pool parties, we play the Three Little Pigs and Suri is the Big Bad Wolf. Tom reads storybooks to Suri and we all laugh. When a good song comes on, he’ll break out in a dance. We’ll watch movies in bed, recently Madagascar and Cinderella, for Suri. We really have a good time,” she says, indicating that they are happily married and news that they are headed for a split are completely baseless. [SOURCE]
Katie Holmes reveals that she has never been one of the cool kids contrary to her glamorous showbiz status.
The actress – who is busy juggling motherhood with a flourishing career – confesses that despite living the high life as Tom Cruise’s wife, she is as normal and nerdy as they come.
She tells OK!, “I can’t deny that I’m a nerd. I am who I am. I’m pretty normal, I’m not a smooth type of girl, I run into things, I trip, I spill food, I say stupid things – I really don’t have it all together. But I’m working on it – I really am.”
And school was no different for Katie, who was a late bloomer where boys are concerned.
She adds, “In hindsight, I think going to an all-girls school meant we missed out socially.
“We came out of school and it was suddenly, ‘Oh my God! Boys!’ I was all about, ‘How do I look? What is he thinking?’
“We weren’t used to being around boys in a normal setting and seeing them as friends.”
Katie Holmes has shot down rumors she’s pregnant with her second child.
OK! magazine reported Wednesday that the former Dawson’s Creek actress and her husband Tom Cruise were “deliriously happy that [daughter] Suri will be a big sister” and that “They’ve always planned on expanding their family. They’re over the moon.”
The mag also claimed that Katie is waiting until she’s at least three months pregnant before going public with the pregnancy.
But a rep for Holmes has debunked the claims, telling Radar Online, “There’s no truth to that story.”
Holmes, 30, is currently filming The Extra Man in New York.
Katie Holmes is working on her own clothing label for Armani, with plans to introduce it later this year.
According to OK Magazine Holmes has signed a deal to launch her own fashion line, Katie Holmes for Armani.
It’s the first time a high-fashion house had a label affiliation with a non-professional designer.
A source said: “Right now this is Katie’s life. She is extremely excited about it.
“The first clothes will all be things she could imagine Suri wearing.”
The actress will reportedly release her line over the course of two years, starting with a collection aimed at toddlers for spring 2009.
A collection for older children will follow in autumn, followed by a handbag line and a women’s collection by 2010.
The source added: “The Katie Holmes for Armani collection will be comparable in price to the Armani ready-to-wear line.”
Speaking about her acting future, the source said: “Katie’s dedication to fashion does not mean she’s given up her acting career.
“She definitely wants to continue with that too, but right now this is her priority.”
Katie Holmes has blasted reports suggesting that she’s expecting her second child.
“I’m not pregnant right now,” The Mirror quoted her, as telling the forthcoming April issue of Glamour magazine.
The actress is a mum to two-year-old Suri with husband Tom Cruise, which she describes as “an amazing experience”.
“In an instant you become strong. You have to be a little bit wiser; it’s the most important job in the world,” she added.
Holmes also discussed the buzz which once surrounded the Cruise marriage, including one story which said that Suri didn’t exist at all.
“Some of the stuff [people said] was such absolutely horrible things to say about a child,” she said.
She added: “It was so uncalled for and so disgusting. Enough is enough.
“I definitely felt like – as a woman, as the mother of Suri – I want to handle this!
“My mum is very strong, and if anyone ever said anything about any of us, she would be, ‘Excuse me? That’s my family!’”
